Now that Joplin, MO, is recovering from one of the most devastating tornadoes in U.S. history, we want to recognize the community service provided by the wonderful people of Freeman Health System, who we proudly count among our many clients.
Through Facebook, and thanks to someone at Freeman updating their status continuously, we were able to get first-hand information on the progress of the situation in Joplin. Updating Facebook at such a critical time was incredible!
We know that our hospital clients take community services and the health of all their patients very seriously. We also see on a daily basis all their efforts to make sure that their Hispanic patients understand what is being said to them by providing all their materials in Spanish and by partnering with Spanish translation companies like ours to make sure they all receive the same care and understand it.
During the devastating tragedy, Freeman went above and beyond to support a city in ruins and a people seriously hurt. Volunteers showed up from everywhere to lend a helping hand. We want to commend their heroic efforts and although we are far away in Ohio, our hearts have been with everyone at Joplin, and at Freeman, from the moment we heard the news.
Please take the time to read the letter from Freeman’s CEO that is posted on Facebook and on their website: http://www.freemanhealth.com/message.
We are proud to be associated with such an organization!
Why do we need Spanish translations of government-created documents?
